International Key Account Manager

Based - Portugal (With frequent travel across UK, Ireland & Europe)


An established international animal health pharmaceutical organisation is expanding its commercial footprint and is seeking an experienced International Key Account Manager to be based in Portugal. This position plays a pivotal role in managing and developing multinational B2B partnerships across the UK, Ireland and wider European markets, covering both companion animal and large animal product portfolios.


The Position

Operating from a home office in Portugal, with frequent international travel, you will take ownership of strategic global accounts and drive commercial performance across multiple territories.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and expanding relationships with major international animal health organisations.
  • Developing structured account strategies to maximise revenue and long-term growth.
  • Identifying new commercial opportunities across existing products and pipeline innovations.
  • Leading contract negotiations, pricing discussions and promotional initiatives.
  • Supporting new product launches through commercial planning and market insight.
  • Monitoring market dynamics, competitor activity and account performance.
  • Delivering technical and commercial presentations to customers and internal teams.
  • Maintaining accurate forecasting and CRM reporting to support business planning.
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution.


Ideal Candidate Profile

You are a commercially astute and entrepreneurial professional who thrives in an international environment and is confident engaging at senior decision-making level.


You will bring:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ B2B experience within the animal health industry.
  • Proven experience managing key or global accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of major international animal health companies.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical and commercial decision-making capability.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider international team.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across the UK, Ireland and Europe.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary, Agriculture, Animal Science or a related discipline (preferred).
