International Key Account Manager
Based - Portugal (With frequent travel across UK, Ireland & Europe)
An established international animal health pharmaceutical organisation is expanding its commercial footprint and is seeking an experienced International Key Account Manager to be based in Portugal. This position plays a pivotal role in managing and developing multinational B2B partnerships across the UK, Ireland and wider European markets, covering both companion animal and large animal product portfolios.
The Position
Operating from a home office in Portugal, with frequent international travel, you will take ownership of strategic global accounts and drive commercial performance across multiple territories.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and expanding relationships with major international animal health organisations.
- Developing structured account strategies to maximise revenue and long-term growth.
- Identifying new commercial opportunities across existing products and pipeline innovations.
- Leading contract negotiations, pricing discussions and promotional initiatives.
- Supporting new product launches through commercial planning and market insight.
- Monitoring market dynamics, competitor activity and account performance.
- Delivering technical and commercial presentations to customers and internal teams.
- Maintaining accurate forecasting and CRM reporting to support business planning.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution.
Ideal Candidate Profile
You are a commercially astute and entrepreneurial professional who thrives in an international environment and is confident engaging at senior decision-making level.
You will bring:
- A minimum of 3 years’ B2B experience within the animal health industry.
- Proven experience managing key or global accounts.
- Strong knowledge of major international animal health companies.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical and commercial decision-making capability.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider international team.
- Willingness to travel frequently across the UK, Ireland and Europe.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary, Agriculture, Animal Science or a related discipline (preferred).
