Stop Selling From a 500-Page Catalogue. Master One Market-Leading Solution.
Most agricultural sales roles require you to juggle hundreds of product codes, low-margin consumables, and endless pricing lists, leaving you acting more like an order-taker than a specialist.
This role is completely different.
We are looking for an ambitious sales professional with dairy experience to focus 100% of their energy on a category-defining capital solution that revolutionises parlour efficiency and herd health.
Instead of spreading yourself thin across dozens of product lines, you will become the definitive regional expert in a proven, high-ROI engineering solution that pays for itself by reducing mastitis, lowering somatic cell counts (SCC), and saving dairy farmers substantial labor costs.
What You Will Do
- Own the Territory: Build and execute your own business development strategy across Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, and Dorset.
- Be in the Field: Spend 3 days per week on-farm, walking parlours, identifying pain points, and consulting with herd managers and farm owners.
- Consultative Problem Solving: Deliver data-backed, technical pitches focused on herd health economics, mastitis prevention, and milking parlour workflow.
- Manage Your Funnel: Build pipeline via cold calling, farm gate visits, dealer collaboration, and local agricultural events, tracking all activity systematically.
- Complete Diary Autonomy: Plan your own travel and customer touchpoints, visiting headquarters only 3 to 4 times per year for team alignment.
Who We Are Looking For
- Dairy Credibility: A solid technical understanding of dairy herd dynamics
- Sales Drive: At least 1+ years in a commercial, B2B, or field-based agricultural role, ready to step up into high-value capital equipment sales.
- True Hunter Mentality: Confident making direct introductions, knocking on farm doors, following up rigorously, and closing deals.
- Autonomy: Highly disciplined, self-starting, and comfortable managing your own diary in a remote, field-based role.
- Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence and residence within (or accessible to) the Southwest corridor.
What’s on Offer
-
Base Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 dependent on relevant industry experience
-
Incentive Plan: Uncapped commission scheme with high-earner kicker thresholds
-
Company Vehicle: Kia Sportage Hybrid
-
Comprehensive Training: Extensive structured onboarding including technical shadowing, factory training, and live installation site exposure
-
Full Diary Freedom: True autonomy over your weekly schedule
