About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Key Account Manager to join a growing and innovative organisation within the veterinary medical technology space. This role focuses on driving adoption of a cutting-edge technology to support improved clinical outcomes in veterinary practices.
As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing strategic relationships with veterinary practices. You will work closely with clients to support the introduction, training, and successful use of the technology within their practices.
This is a highly consultative, relationship-driven sales role ideal for someone who understands the veterinary landscape and thrives on building long-term partnerships with veterinary professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing strategic relationships with referral centres, specialist clinicians, and first-opinion veterinary practices across companion animal and equine sectors.
- Identify, segment, and prioritise key accounts to maximise product adoption and achieve territory sales targets.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and initial engagement through to device demonstrations, trials, and closing new business.
- Deliver consultative product presentations and clinical discussions with veterinary surgeons, ophthalmologists, and clinical directors.
- Coordinate and manage practice-based device trials, ensuring clear objectives, effective training, and strong conversion to long-term customers.
- Provide on-site training and ongoing customer support to veterinary teams to ensure successful product adoption and continued usage.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline forecasting, and territory reporting, while representing the business at veterinary conferences, exhibitions, and industry events.
Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years’ sales experience within the animal health or veterinary sector
- Background in veterinary, animal science, life sciences, or a related discipline
- Proven success in consultative selling and key account management
- Experience managing a sales pipeline from prospecting to close
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills
- Experience selling veterinary medical devices or specialist clinical equipment
- Highly motivated with strong commercial drive
- Enjoys building networks and establishing trusted partnerships
