Swine Species Technician – Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, Scotland

The Opportunity

Noble Futures is pleased to represent a global leader in animal health as they expand their UK presence. This is a newly created position within a high-growth division, designed specifically to bridge the gap between technical innovation and practical, on-farm application.

The role is far from a standard desk job; it is a highly active, "boots-on-the-ground" position focused on post-sales support. You will be the primary point of contact for farmers and vets, ensuring that products are used effectively and that customers receive a gold-standard level of service.

The Role

Reporting directly to a seasoned Key Account Manager, your focus will be on the practical delivery of health solutions. This includes the on-farm after sales technical support, coordinating on-farm trials, and managing the resulting data to help drive future growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • On-Farm Support: Providing training to farm staff on correct procedures.
  • Trial Coordination: Working alongside the Technical Services Vet to set up trials, collect data, and monitor pig health outcomes.
  • Innovation & Technology: Driving the use of digital service portals and supporting the rollout of new diagnostic tools, including AI-driven systems.
  • Relationship Management: Building trust with farmers, producers, and corporate field teams to ensure long-term business retention.

About You

We are seeking a candidate who is deeply rooted in the pig industry. You might currently be a Farm Manager looking for a move into the commercial sector, or perhaps you are already working as a species technician for an animal health firm.

What is essential is your ability to work autonomously, troubleshoot on your feet, and maintain a high work ethic in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Resilience and Drive: You will be working with a direct, results-oriented Key Account Manager; you must be prepared to put in the effort required to meet ambitious targets.
  • Creative Problem Solving: Rather than just following a task list, you should be someone who looks for ways to add value and improve the customer experience.
  • Flexibility: This role requires a full UK driving license and a willingness to handle flexible working hours, and occasional overnight stays.

Requirements

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Strong agricultural background with the physical ability to handle pigs.
  • Valid passport for occasional travel within the UK and Europe.

Remuneration and Benefits

  • Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 (depending on experience).
  • Bonus: Competitive bonus structure.
  • Vehicle: Company car provided.
  • Package: 25 days annual leave plus statutory holidays, private healthcare, pension scheme, and comprehensive insurance cover.

Our client is a company that refuses to settle for the status quo. They approach the future of livestock farming with a relentless drive for excellence and a positive, forward-thinking mindset. If you are someone who wants to challenge the standards of farm support, we want to hear from you.
