Head of Operations


This brilliant opportunity is ideal for a creative and direct leader with a vision for progress and efficiency. Predominately based in Cork this senior role will oversee multiple manufacturing and production sites and includes the management of quality, supply chain and Production Supervisors. Working for a longstanding and reputable business, this role is ideal for someone with an understanding of engineering and automation with knowledge of health and safety standards. Experienced in change management, the right candidate for this role will understand the importance of people and ensure that there is a consistent focus on employee development and retention. 


Responsibilities:

  • Working within the Senior Leadership Team to develop performance targets and long term operational plans.
  • Budget management across all sites.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the animal nutrition sector in order to maximise on opportunities.
  • Develop internal relationships with heads of departments and external stakeholders to assist in making decisions regarding operational and strategic goals.


Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of operational functions to include finance, supply chain, customer service and production.
  • An energetic team player that thinks outside the box.
  • Project management skills and knowledge of methodologies such as Agile, Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • A willingness to travel between sites in the Cork area.
