Job Title: Senior Account Manager – Large Animal


Location: South West Ireland

We’re looking for an experienced, forward-thinking Senior Territory Business Manager to join a well-established, innovative company in the animal health sector. In this pivotal, field-based role, you’ll take ownership of a high-value territory across Southwest and Southeast Ireland, building strategic partnerships with independent veterinary practices, corporate groups, and buying organisations.

You’ll champion a portfolio of trusted, market-leading products while working in close collaboration with the Technical Services Vet to deliver impactful herd health programmes and vaccination strategies tailored to client needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic account management and territory growth across a diverse customer base
  • Drive commercial success through high-level relationship development and stakeholder engagement
  • Develop and implement business plans for key accounts, collaborating with internal teams across technical, marketing, and operations
  • Provide insights and data to support territory performance reviews and wider market strategy
  • Deliver advanced product knowledge, training, and technical support to clients
  • Maintain and leverage CRM data to inform business planning and identify new opportunities
  • Represent the business at national and regional events, conferences, and industry forums
  • Work towards ambitious KPIs while contributing to the company’s strategic sales objectives
  • Coach and mentor junior team members or field colleagues as required
  • Lead or support field-based projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives


What We’re Looking For

  • Full, clean Irish driving licence and valid passport
  • 4–6 years' experience in veterinary pharmaceutical sales or a senior commercial role within the animal health sector
  • Proven success managing high-value accounts and strategic customer relationships
  • Strong technical knowledge of ruminant health, ideally supported by a degree in animal science or a related discipline
  • Commercially astute with a consultative sales approach
  • Confident communicator with experience in delivering presentations, training sessions, or client workshops
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM platforms
  • Based in the SW/SE region, with flexibility for travel and occasional overnight stays
  • Experience collaborating across departments and leading cross-functional initiatives is a plus
