Sales Representative

Lancashire (Office-based with 2 days per week national field travel)

Salary: Up to £37,000 (DOE) + Quarterly Commission

Noble Futures is pleased to be partnering with a prestigious, family-run manufacturer with a heritage spanning four generations in Lancashire. As specialists in the pet and agricultural supply sectors, they have spent over a century establishing themselves as leaders in high-quality animal feeds and specialist nutrition. Combining traditional values with modern innovation, they provide premium products across both national and international B2B and B2C channels.

As part of a growing sales team, the Sales Representative will focus on nurturing and expanding the company’s most significant trade and retail relationships across the UK. This position is designed for a sales professional who is hungry to develop their career and improve their commercial reach.

While the core of the role involves managing an existing customer base to ensure exceptional service and sales growth , you will also be tasked with identifying and chasing new business leads to expand the portfolio. This is a hybrid role requiring a balance of office-based strategic planning in Lancashire and active field-based engagement, typically spending two days per week on the road visiting clients and attending industry trade shows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for key trade accounts, building long-term, high-trust partnerships.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for sales growth within existing accounts through effective upselling and cross-selling.
  • Proactively manage a new business pipeline, identifying prospective accounts and pursuing growth opportunities.
  • Monitor sales trends and performance data to ensure all profit targets and KPIs are met or exceeded.
  • Plan and conduct regular field visits, documenting progress and following up on action points to maintain high engagement.
  • Represent the company at national industry events and exhibitions to strengthen market presence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer requirements and manufactured product standards are consistently met.

Candidate Requirements

This role is ideally suited to an individual early in their sales career who possesses a background in animal food, agricultural feed manufacturing, or the wider pet industry.

  • Proven experience in sales or account management, with a track record of hitting targets and driving revenue.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence buyers and decision-makers.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to use sales data and market intelligence to identify new opportunities.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management and diary coordination skills.
  • Based in or near the Lancashire area and willing to travel UK-wide, including occasional overnight stays as required.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential.

Remuneration and Benefits

The role offers a competitive base salary of up to £37,000, complemented by a quarterly commission structure based on sales growth. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, reputable business during a period of growth and to play a key role in their future success.
