Business Development Manager – Ireland
We are working with our client exclusively to recruit a Business Development Manager to take ownership of an established region and drive further growth by building strong customer relationships and winning new business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in agriculture and a passion for sales to join a dynamic business. The role offers exposure to a large client base, regular travel, and the opportunity to attend events, exhibitions, and trade shows to represent the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow revenues across the region through customer retention and new client acquisition.
- Proactively seek out new business opportunities and convert leads into long-term customers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts while expanding the wider customer base.
- Represent the company at shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
- Provide a consultative and personable approach in client meetings.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and market opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records within the CRM system and share insights to support wider business initiatives.
- Collaborate with the marketing team, offering ideas, feedback, and support for campaigns.
About You
We are looking for a results-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys developing strong professional relationships. The ideal candidate will be:
- Ambitious, and target-driven with a strong desire to succeed.
- Confident in both face-to-face and telephone-based selling, with excellent communication skills.
- Experienced in consultative sales, ideally within a field-based environment.
- Comfortable working remotely with the ability to manage your own time and priorities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
- Flexible to travel across Ireland, including attending shows and events with some overnight stays.

- A strong background in Agriculture or Agricultural Sales
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Team-oriented, whilst capable of working independently.
- Innovative, creative, and forward-thinking in approach.
Remuneration
- Basic salary of up to €75,000 (DOE)
